Delete your account

1. How to request deletion

1. Email support@fairways.live with the subject line "Fairways account deletion request".
2. Send the request from the same email address that is linked to your Fairways account, or include that account email in the message.
3. If needed, we may ask you to complete a short verification step to confirm that the account belongs to you.

2. What we delete or anonymize

• Account identifiers and sign-in records tied to your account.
• Profile data such as display name, bio, country, and handicap.
• Uploaded profile photos stored by Fairways.
• Social connections such as follow relationships and invitations.
• Other account-linked personal data that is no longer needed.

3. What may be retained

In some cases, limited information may remain after deletion:

• Shared round, score, or tournament records may be kept in de-identified or anonymized form so other users' histories remain intact.
• Security, fraud-prevention, support, and audit records may be kept for up to 12 months.
• Backup copies may remain for up to 90 days before automatic deletion or overwrite.
• Data we are legally required to keep may be retained for the legally required period.

4. Timing

Once we verify your request, we aim to delete or anonymize your account-linked personal data within 30 days.
